MVC Standard Accreditation

Having been trained as a ISO 9001 implementer and auditor, MVC is ideally placed to manage your company's process through to successful accreditation.

ISO 9001:

To obtain the standard, you will have identified ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs and lower waste. You'll be taking on board customer feedback and reacting in a more systematic way. Finally, your staff will have clear roles, and there will be standardised lines of communication to improve management.

  •     o Implement a controlled update system
  • Create a Supplier assessment system
  • Internal audit schedule
  • Complaints register
  • Non-confrmance log and corrective action register
  •     o The cost of non-conformance
  • In-house training to ensure that procedures are understod and implemented
  • · Work with external assessor on the audit day to ensure successful accreditation

  • Recognition will enable businesses to have their consignment fast-tracked through customs controls. If a consignment is selected for examination they will receive priority over non-AEO's
  • When the requirement to make pre-arrival/departure summary declarations is introduced in July 2009, AEOs will be able to omit certain data elements from the declaration.
  • Recognition status across the EU
  • Trade consider AEO status as an industry 'kite mark' and useful marketing tool
  • Potential, in future, to have reciprocal arrangements and mutual recognition with countries outside the EU e.g. USA (C-TPAT)
Simplification AEO certificate
  • Access to certain simplifications in Customs procedures, such as guarantee waivers and centralised clearance may be restricted to AEOs.
  • Recognised status across the EU that should make it easier for businesses to apply to use simplifications across the EU.
  • Trade consider AEO status as an industry 'kite mark' and useful marketing tool.
